About 3 weeks ago I spent some wonderful time exploring North California. A grueling 2,200 miles drive and travel, from Golden gate to the windmills of Rio Vista, to the coast of Mendocino County, to the valley of Yosemite and Tuloumne Meadows. From the surreal terrain of Mono Lake and the raging waves of Big Sur. Some fantastic light on some areas and some I could have wished for more. But since time was limited I had to do with what was given. These are the images that I have captured with 2 Canon 5d mk II, Canon 16-35 mk2, Canon 17-40 f4L, Canon 15mm fisheye and Canon 70-200 f4L. 三仙台Sansiantai | Playground of the Immortals I just got back from Taiwan last February 24 to 28, 2011. This is another safari of people who share a common passion, to explore and capture locations that are iconic and prodigious. We planned this activity for a month, researching and evaluating. Together with me are three of whom I consider as the brightest and most persistent Chasing Light alumni and co-Pipho member namely Patrick Ong, Melvin Esteban and Bong Bajo. New Beginnings Year 2011, a start of a new year. To be in new places, to capture new images, to meet new friends, to see more sunrise and sunsets, to start journeys.
